Modern Slavery Statement

Introduction

5Star Security Ltd is committed to preventing modern slavery, forced labour, and human trafficking in all aspects of our operations and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to act ethically, with integrity and transparency, and to implement effective systems and controls to mitigate the risk of modern slavery.

This statement outlines the steps we take to identify, assess, and manage modern slavery risks within our business and supply chain.

Business and Supply Chain

5Star Security Ltd provides professional security services including event security, door supervision, corporate security, and venue protection. Our operations are primarily based within the United Kingdom.

Our supply chain includes subcontracted security personnel, labour providers, training organisations, uniform and equipment suppliers, and other business service providers. We acknowledge that labour-intensive sectors, such as security services, can carry an increased risk of modern slavery and therefore apply enhanced controls.

Policies

We operate a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, supported by relevant policies and procedures, including:

  • Modern Slavery Policy

  • Recruitment and Right to Work Procedures

  • Whistleblowing and Reporting Procedures

  • Supplier Due Diligence Processes

All policies are designed to promote ethical working practices and legal compliance.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation

We assess modern slavery risks across our business and supply chain by:

  • Identifying roles and suppliers with higher labour risk

  • Reviewing recruitment methods and payment practices

  • Monitoring working hours, wages, and conditions

Where risks are identified, appropriate mitigation measures are implemented, including enhanced checks, supplier engagement, or termination of relationships where necessary.

Internal Vetting Process

To reduce the risk of exploitation within our workforce, all employees and subcontractors are subject to robust vetting processes, including:

  • Right to Work checks

  • Identity verification

  • SIA licence validation (where applicable)

  • Clear contractual terms with no recruitment fees

We do not withhold personal documents or restrict freedom of movement.

Escalation and Remediation

Any concerns or indicators of modern slavery are escalated to senior management immediately. Where issues are identified, we take appropriate action, which may include:

  • Immediate safeguarding measures

  • Investigation and engagement with relevant parties

  • Termination of contracts where breaches occur

  • Referral to appropriate authorities where required

Non-Labour Supplier Risk Management

We recognise that modern slavery risks may also exist within non-labour supply chains. We assess suppliers providing uniforms, equipment, and services by reviewing ethical standards, business practices, and compliance expectations, taking action where risks are identified.

Applicability

This statement applies to all employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and business partners working with or on behalf of 5Star Security Ltd.

Training and Awareness

We promote awareness of modern slavery risks among management and staff. Relevant personnel are encouraged to remain vigilant and to report concerns. Awareness is reinforced through management briefings and operational oversight.

Effectiveness and Metrics

We monitor the effectiveness of our approach through:

  • Completion of Right to Work and identity checks

  • Supplier compliance reviews

  • Incident and concern reporting trends

  • Management oversight and audits

These measures help us continuously improve our controls and practices.

Reporting Concerns

Any concerns relating to modern slavery or unethical practices can be raised confidentially with management. All reports are taken seriously and investigated promptly, with protection provided to those who raise concerns in good faith.

Looking Forward

5Star Security Ltd is committed to continuous improvement in identifying and addressing modern slavery risks. We will continue to review our policies, strengthen supplier engagement, and enhance awareness to ensure ethical and responsible business practices remain central to our operations.
